SOLAR ACLAIM

  After underbidding on several lots over the first day and a half, we were delighted to purchase a talented Saturday horse to join Julie Camacho. He was last seen on the track just this Saturday, finishing third in a 50k handicap at Doncaster. 

We plan to go back to Doncaster on the 9th November for the finale sprint, again a 50k race but this time over 6f which looks sets to suit given how hard he hit the line on Saturday.

He will then have a winter break before being aimed at the big sprint handicap at the Brocklesby meeting in 2025.

If you look at his form, its clear that he’s a very talented horse on slower ground and its that high level of ability that saw him purchased privately for a huge sum by Wathnan Racing this time last year.

He was subsequently shipped to the Middle East for a winter campaign which saw him run over the wrong trip and on the wrong ground.

We have a clear plan of where we need to go and on what ground we need to be running on and he looks set to feature in all the big sprint handicaps in 2025 when the conditions lean his way.

He was comfortably the best horse at Goodwood at the end of September and the second placed horse has backed that form up since when turning the form around with us when we conceded a penalty.

We where ridden prominently on our next start and a finishing speed percentage of 94% suggests they went far too fast in those testing conditions.

Our Doncaster run was what we have bought him on and we believe a step up to six furlongs will unlock a little more,  especially as a four year old and after a winter off, something he didn't have last year.

Both Timeform and RPR's recorded his Doncaster run as almost 10lb better than his official mark!

Julie and Steve have an exceptional record when buying at this sale and we were adamant we wanted to add to our string for 2025.
