This is Karl's group of sharpest fillies and likely to be his early 2yo filly runners this year.
Sam rode our filly and reported that she showed the most speed in the early stages but the Dandy Man filly was back upsides by the end of the gallop and was probably a bit fitter than our filly.
On what we’ve seen to date, we should be winning a maiden which could be in March or April.
Nick's thoughts:
I have seen ten 2yos breeze this morning at Karl's yard and in my opinion Invincible Dancer came up the best.
Kelly reported that the filly she came up with was one of their sharpest. From watching the video it looks to me that our filly was going significantly better.
I expect to be picking out races for her in March for April and May.
Despite the appalling conditions, our Invincible Spirit filly had her first breeze this morning, they couldn't go as fast as planned due to the weather but Sam James commented that she went well. She will now have a Super Sprint entry.
Your filly has come on plenty in the last couple of weeks and she's now been upsides a couple of times.
Lucy Burke described her as a sharp filly who all the work riders like.
She should be one of our first 2yo runners from the yard.
30th January - In second behind our Kodi Bear filly.
12th January - Our filly is in fourth on this video, Karl is happy with where she is currently at.
5th January - First day back on the gallops for our Invincible Spirit filly, she can be seen in fifth on this clip.
2nd January - The team at Karl's believe she'll be all speed and is one for the better ground from June onwards.
22nd December - Our filly (near side) doing her first piece of fast work with a Mehmas & Sands of Mali filly.
15th December - Karl reports she is a shade weak but a very good mover with a great temperament.
7th December - Our filly has arrived at Karls and has settled in nicely.
Our filly is now ridden on the round outdoor gallop and has taken everything within her stride.
Judged on our reports she should be one of our first runners for Karl's yard in 2024.
Very few were left in the sales ring when the hammer went down at 50,000 gns for this daughter of Invincible Spirit, in years gone by, progeny of Invincible Spirit have always been out of our reach but we managed to secure two in one day during book 3.
Invincible Spirit needs no introduction as a sire, producing twenty two individual Group one winners and a colossal seventy-six group winners in total! Last years crop, his 2021 offspring had a 46% winner to runner strike rate with the unbeaten Ghostwriter, proving Invincible Spirit can still produce top level horses after a devasting performance in the Royal Lodge.
The filly has a strong back page which is littered with black type animals, notably Muhaarar (see pedigree below).
Whilst the Invincible Spirit x Dark Angel cross is in its infancy, it has produced a 100% strike rate so far with two winners from two crosses.
Mystic Pearl the first example is now rated 100 after her third in a Group 3 at Deauville in August, whilst Andalusian Star was an impressive maiden winner over in Ireland just last week on her second start. If you wanted to test the bloodlines further, Dark Angel is a son of Acclamation, the Invincible Spirit and Acclamation cross has produced five winners from seven occasions, with none other than Commonwealth Cup winner Eqtidaar, been the most successful.
His nomination fee rose as high as €120,000 between 2016-2019 as he stands at the Irish national stud, and top sires such as Kingman, Mayson, Territories and Magna Grecia are all products of Invincible Spirit.
Karl and Kelly have taken a leg in the filly, she was high on their shortlist for the day and we were more than happy to get involved.
