George reports that our filly is now been ridden and he likes her, expecting her to be quick.
01/11/2023 - George reports our filly has been straightforward so far
Our first purchase of the Goffs Autumn yearling sale was an Inns of Court filly consigned by premier farm, Tally Ho stud.
The overall standard of the sale was very poor, this allowed Nick to be very precise with what he passed and our shortlist was very small as a consequence.
He saw this filly twice, she impressed on both occasions and she was one of only six fillies on our list for day one.
The dam has had plenty of success over 5/6f furlongs and that exactly what we expect this filly to be, she looks all speed and hopefully one for races like the Marygate.
The half sister, Tahoo was a NBR horse who recorded a peak RPR of 92, she was a very quick horse but there’s a little more scope to this filly.
Inns of Court enjoyed a fair first season as a stallion, there’s a whole host of above average winners, our own Buttercross Flyer, Eminny, Consoling, Gray’s Inn to name a few as well as listed winner Megarry and multiple stakes placed Gaenari.
A lot of his progeny have improved with time so although we expect this filly to be sharp and early, we also expect her to develop throughout the season.
She’ll join Craig Lidster who has taken a 50% share in the filly. Craig enjoyed a very profitable season with his 2yo’s enjoying 10 winners.
He also had a great success with winning IRE incentive races which comes with a €10,000 bonus for all qualifying horses.
This filly is IRE registered and it’s something we’ll be looking for when we do her early race planning with the chance to win double her sales figure on top of any prize money!T
