We continued our tactic to buy the very best fillies on offer when securing the queen of day two at the Goffs Orby sale for €85,000 with Johnny Murtagh.

Johnny was very keen to train the filly coming from a farm he respects who have produced some top quality equine talents, this filly has the back page to match with the dam being a half sister to G1 placed and G3 winner Enforcer, Motion Lass another half sister has produced A'Ali who has gone onto make a sire after a very promising career as a race horse.

Havana Grey is all the range at the moment and his record as a stallion has been pretty remarkable, his nomination fee started at £8,000 its now at £16,500 and that is likely to double for next year such is his success.

There's a string of talented 2yo on the track this year, no more so that Vandeek who is the favourite for tomorrows Middle Park Stakes. The Havana Grey x Arakan cross yielded Cuban Grey this year who ran to an RPR of 85 in the Wetherbys £300,000 scientific stakes at Doncaster.

We have paid the £5,000 entry fee into the Goffs two million pound series for 2024 which is included in the upfront cost.

Both Johnny & Ballybin Stud (vendor) have retained a 25% share.
