Our filly is extremely well and Adrian couldn't be happier with her.
She did lots of exercise prior to Christmas and Adrian stepped up her work a little in the first two weeks of January.
They gave her half a squeeze last week and he reports that she certainly has ability.
He went on to say that physically she's a beautiful filly and a real eye catcher in his string.
He's currently having a new 2yo barn built and she will move into their at the start of February.
As she isn't in his "early" cohort of 2yo's, she's having a light two-three weeks, with her just on the walker and in the lunge ring which he expects will bring her on again.
Given her pedigree she was never going to be super early but he ended the phone call by saying you certainly won't be disappointed when she is out from what I've seen so far.
26th November - She can be seen in second here, Adrian reports that she is a good mover and he's looking forward to seeing what engine she has in the spring.
22nd November - Adrian has been extremely happy with our filly since she moved into the main yard.
We had hoped to send a horse to Adrian Keatley on the back of a fantastic year for the yard and we are thrilled we got this filly over the line.
By dual group one producer Galiway, she won't be on the track in the first couple of months of the season but she does look incredibly racy considering her pedigree.
She has excellent confirmation and a real powerful walk with a strong hind leg, three key ingredients for Nick when he is shortlisting his fillies.
She has a considerable pedigree, with the dam being a full sister to group one Phoenix Stakes winner, Pedro The Great as well as a half sister to 2000 Guineas winner, Footstepsinthesand and Listed Distaff winner, Belle D'or.
The dam has already produced a blacktype animal over a mile and should we be able to replicate that, we will have a considerable broodmare prospect on our hands.
She will join Adrian Keatley who is based in Malton and has had an outstanding season with his 2yo's in 2024.
Symbol Of Strength won the group three Sirenia Stakes, Francisco's Piece won the Listed Prix La Fleche at Chantilly whilst Flying Finn gained some valuable black type in the listed Melisande at Longchamp, with the French angle very much in our mindset with this filly given she is by Galiway.
