  We are delighted to add this precocious looking filly to our class of 2025 for half the price we were expecting to pay!

As she walked into the ring, we learnt that her reserve was north of 25,000gns and we decided to let her pass at that money with majority of our shortlist still to walk into the ring. 

After seeing she was vendor in the ring, Nick chanced his arm with an offer of 15,000gns which was eventually accepted.

This means she will be eligible for band D maidens as a 2yo which give her the best chance of breaking her maiden early in her career. The fixture book this year was full of valuable restricted maiden and novice events with some carrying prize money of up to £40,000. We have sold a couple of fillies year who ran well in restricted company, Fondest Dream won a C&D event before being sold to America for £160,000.

This filly is out of a black type mare who finished 2nd in a fifteen-runner listed race at Newbury as a 2yo before being retired to a broodmare at the end of her juvenile campaign. Her first offspring, Sankari was a dual winner as a 2yo and peaked at a rating of 84. He was all speed despite being by Ribchester and we confident this filly will be the same.

With the sire not the most desirable, only the very best produce hit the mainstream sales which gives us plenty of confidence that this filly will be the best that the sales agents will have seen. This is a tactic we have used previously; J Street is also by an unfashionable sire in Washington DC and Craig has done an excellent job with her.

Given she qualifies for €10,000 Irish incentive, we’ll be looking to target the valuable restricted novices which also carry the incentive which would reward owners with a large chunk of their purchase price in one hit.
