TWILIGHT LUCY

"Our filly is well, she left Glebe Farm at the weekend to join a yard I have been using in Ireland to break in our yearlings. She will be ridden by the end of next week and I plan to get her over to Mark's yard in January. During her time at Glebe Farm she was very straightforward and seems to have a rock solid temperament. I expect her to be the type of filly who should debut in May over 6 furlongs." 

This filly was bought by Nick Bradley and Mark Johnston at the Tattersalls Book 2 October 2019 sale.

Nick has been kicking himself all season about not purchasing MRS BOUQUET at the Doncaster Premier Yearling Sales in 2018 and has seen her win 4 times including at York and the Glorious Goodwood meeting.

This filly has one of the best and most precocious pedigree sold anywhere in 2019. Our filly's dam, RIVA ROYALE, has already produced 5 horses capable of running to marks above 90, with four of them securing blacktype and the fifth being MRS BOUQUET who will surely secure blacktype later in her career.

TWILIGHT SON was retired to stud after a very successful racing career in 2014 to 2016. As a 2yo Twilight Son was unbeaten winning on 2 occasions over 6 furlongs. As a 3yo he won on Guineas weekend and then went on to win the Reg Griffin Premier 6 furlong handicap at York. He won the Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock in September and then finished 2nd to MUHAARAR on Champions Day again over 6 furlongs. He added the Diamond Jubilee to his resume in 2016 and was retired to Cheveley Park at the end of 2016.

This filly is a bigger, stronger and scopier model from the mare when compared to MRS BOUQUET, but with that said, we expect our filly to be highly precocious and very much a 2yo filly. We just see her as a bigger stronger version of MRS BOUQUET.

This filly will race as a 2 and 3yo and will then either sold as a broodmare prospect or be retired to Glebe Farm where she will join Nick's broodmare band and all being well will be a long-term mare on the farm.
