Innocent Settler has come on nicely since her previous trip to Chelmsford.
Kieran rode her this morning and she was sharp enough from the gates to make the running on this occasion, pricking her ears in front and showing a good attitude when joined by older horses.
She will appreciate a bit of cut in the ground and whilst she will be best over 6f she is sharp enough to start over 5f.
Our filly jumped off at the back of a group of 7 and Daragh Keenan rode her.
Darragh said he ran into some traffic problems turning in and didn't get a clear run. He then just pushed her out hands and heels. He reported she travelled well and thought she was an athletic likeable filly.
She finished in the final pair beating the horse she jumped off next to.
Alice thinks she will start off over 5 furlongs and end up a 6 furlong filly.
Sioux Nation x Soineanta can be seen cantering up the grass and is doing things nicely.
I'm pleased with her and she'll do another piece of work towards the end of the week before likely heading to Chelmsford for an away day in a fortnight.
She's speedy and athletic, and the away day will help us gauge exactly where we are with her.
This filly was in the “forward” group of fillies this week as they did their work on the Railway gallop. She has really come on a lot since becoming a two-year-old, and with her thriving he way she is I couldn’t be much happier with her. We’ll continue to step up her work from here and hopefully she continues to blossom.
Sioux Nation filly has come a long way in the last couple of weeks, physically has done great. Doing her work nicely.
Alice is much happier with our filly now, she is pleasing her plenty when out with the rest of the 2yo strong.
She was a touch weak before Christmas but she's developed plenty physically and we excited to see how she goes when the pace is picked up in coming weeks.
Pink hat - third trio
Our filly has settled straight into life at George Chaloner's pre training yard and will remain there for around 4-6 weeks.
George Quoted: Sioux Nation filly has been introduced to tack and has been long reined everyday, she will be ridden in the next week.
Our second purchase of day two was a hardy Sioux Nation filly who will join Alice Haynes, she looks fast and should be that typical "Alice Haynes 2yo" out early and knowing her job!
She was purchased for €32,000 so will qualify for band C's which will make our life easier as we look to start things off,.
The filly qualifies for the IRE incentive which rewards owners with a €10,000 prize should we win a qualifying race, we have won 5 in 2023 and are one of the leading owners supporting the scheme.
Sioux Nation has produced a plethora of stakes winners to date despite the small second crop, Matilda Picotte being the most recent routing the field in the Group 3 Spectre Fillies Stakes at the weekend.
The dam, Soineanta despite being a maiden showed plenty of ability as a 2yo, running to a mark of 84 in a number of big field maidens.
