This filly was bought by Nick at the Arqana October Yearling Sales on 19th October for 38.000 Euros.

As always Nick made a point of seeing every filly at the sale and on this occasion there were just short of 400 fillies on offer. This filly was up there in the best 2% on offer in Nick's opinion.

She is a very good model who is strong , has good confirmation and an excellent action. Physically she looks definitely the type for the second half of the 2022 season rather than the first half. She stands around 15'3 and is a heavy/strong filly who will want at least 7 furlongs in Nick's opinion.

She is a similar model to Fev Rover but probably a bit stronger with it, her 3yo career should be every bit as good as her 2yo career if not better.

Shalaa was a Morny and Middle Park Group 1 winning son of Invincible Spirit over 6 furlongs but his progeny have tended to want a bit further and that looks the case with this filly who is out of a Le Havre mare who again would be a stamina influence.

She joins Johnny Murtagh who is a very passionate trainer based in Ireland who has done so well with his fillies on the track in recent years.  Eddie Linehan who works the sales for Johnny was also a huge fan of this filly and he was very keen for Johnny to train her.
