This filly was purchased from the Tattersalls Book 2 sale for 17,000 Guineas by Nick Bradley and Karl Burke.
The Tattersalls Book 2 Day 1 trade was the strongest market Nick has seen at the yearling sales in 2021 but by Day 2, when this filly was purchased there was a few holes beginning to form in the market and this filly definitely slipped through into Nick's net.
Physically this filly has it all, she is a very strong filly, with a very good action. It's very hard to identify anything wrong with this filly and later in the sale, another Mastercraftsman made 325,000 Guineas sold to MV Magnier. In Nick's opinion our filly is a nicer and smarter model and would gladly wager that it will achieve more on the track.
Her pedigree reads very differently when you look at the dam and sire's traits. She out of a 90 rated Equiano mare who was at her best over 5 and 6 furlongs and our filly very much has the strength and frame to make up into a sprinter. She is by the stamina influence Mastercraftsman and has the grey markings in line with her sire.
Nick expected this filly to fetch 50,000 plus in the ring, but somehow she was overlooked which Nick has seen before with stock by Coolmore stallions. The biggest purchasers at the Book 2 sale were Godolphin and Shadwell and neither purchaser would consider stock by Mastercraftsman as he is a Coolmore stallion.
She joins Karl Burke who has produced Stakes winning fillies Dandalla and Little Kim with Nick Bradley Racing and there is no reason that this filly can't achieve the same levels on the track.
