LOOK BACK SMILING

- Lot 27 - 

On a day with a small shortlist due to the quality of the catalogue, we were thrilled to take Look Back Smiling away for half of what we were willing to go to. He was a winner on debut at Pontefract beating some useful rivals, third next time up at Chepstow but giving chunks of weight away to the field, this was another promising result. The undulations of Epsom were his undoing on his third run, and we can put a line through that result (Just don't go back to Epsom!) but a return to form at Redcar on his handicap debut when finishing 5th despite still showing some signs of greenness mean we were determined to get him. 

- Pedigree - 

Hes a full brother to the extremely talented Flashcard who was placed in a Group 3 and rated in the 100's. By pivotal, there's every chance he'll train on to be a better horse at 3. Fast Company was retired after his debut season, but he did win the Acomb at York and came second to New Approach in the Dewhurst.

- Nick's Thoughts - 

Nick was thrilled to secure him for half the price we were expecting, and he'll have a small break before an all-weather campaign. He's our first horse with Gemma Tutty who we are hoping to build a good working relationship with, and we all purchase costs include training fee's until 1st February
