Please hear nicks thought process behind the purchase of the Belardo filly
Her third piece of work, shown here, recorded an impressive time and she comes highly recommended by the team at Hyde Park Stud, with who we have done very well off in the past.
Her second piece of work, shown here, was against a horse who recorded a reasonable time first time up. Both were asked the question by their jockeys (ours been slightly heavier)
SHE IS VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER AND VISUALLY ALL IS CORRECT.

John and the team have regularly been sending through videos' of breezes and Nick calculates each performance judged mainly on time, alongside variables such as weather and jockey. We have done well in previous years with purchases such as Cite D'or and Mystery Angel from Hyde Park Stud.

By Belardo, a son of Lope De Vega, he was the winner of the Dewhurst on his final start as a 2yo. He ran at the very top level right throughout his career, with just his debut run being outside stakes company. Towards the end of his racing career, as a 4yo, he won the Lockinge and came second in the Queen Anne. His performance as a stallion has not quite hit the high expectations, this despite him producing three group winners from his first crop. He is however very capable of producing a good horse and his figures from last year saw him end the season with 48 winners. The dam Hayba, cost £450k as a breeze up and she showed plenty of speed at the Craven meeting breeze, traditionally a very high class sale. She is out of multiple group winner, Invincible Spirit. This should speed things up considerably, especially given the dam of Hayba, Loch Jipp, was a winner of the Hilary Needler listed race at Beverley.

She will join our ever growing team at Nawton Racing, based in North Yorkshire. This will be our tenth horse with them for 2023 and we are building a great relationship with everyone at the yard. There results on the track have been great along with the regular and honest feedback we receive off the track.
